Community Grants

The City of Edgewater Grant Policy is provides funding and in-kind services fairly, equitably and consistently to the community. The City supports charitable and public service organizations that enhance and serve the Edgewater community through a grant application program. 
To be eligible for a grant in an amount less than $500, an organization must:
  1. Serve the people of Edgewater in the areas of health and human service, such as
    housing and senior resources; art and culture; education; environment; or sports
  2. Complete the Community Grant Form with a letter explaining how the grant would benefit the Edgewater Community.
To be eligible for a grant in an amount greater than $500, an organization must:
  1. Serve the people of Edgewater in the areas of health and human service, such as housing and senior resources; art and culture; education; environment; or sports; and
  2. Have tax exempt status under the provisions of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be registered as Colorado nonprofit organization with the Colorado Secretary of State.
  3. If the organization received past support from the City, whether cash or in-kind, submit a report with the grant application:
    • statistics concerning the Edgewater population served by the organization;
    • a description of what was accomplished with the grant;
    • and the extent to which those accomplishments met program goals.
  4. Complete the Community Grant Form and submit all supporting documentation.
