Edgewater Library
The Edgewater Library is located inside the Edgewater Civic Center and is a Jefferson County Public Library.

Edgewater Police Department
It is the mission of the Edgewater Police Department to enhance the quality of life by providing a safe and secure environment through the delivery of proactive, effective, and compassionate police services, in partnership with our community.

Fitness Center & Gym
Our Fitness Center provides services for youth, adults, and active older adults. Activities, rentals, and registration, can be found on PlayEdgewater.com.

Edgewater Mayor & City Council are elected by Edgewater Residents and are a vital part of the community. They set policies for the city, the direction of the city, and direction for the City Manager.

Trash: Pick up is every Thursday The City has contracted with Republic to provide trash and recycling services.

Recycling: Pick up is every other Thursday.

Large Item Pick Up: Two (2) free large item pick ups in the calendar year for big, bulky items that cannot be reused or recycled to the landfill.

Composting: Help Edgewater become more sustainable! This program is easy and affordable.

Water: The City of Edgewater is responsible for maintaining and replacing water mains, while property owners are responsible for the service lines and water meters at their address. The City purchases water through Denver Water.

Know the Code!

The Edgewater Municipal Code establishes a basic governmental structure that will provides effective and efficient conduct of the business of the City. It is intended that the Municipal Code is followed fully by the City and all residents.

Weeds: Keep all weeds cut or trimmed below eight (8) inches.

Sidewalk Snow Shoveling: Remove snow and ice on all sidewalks surrounding the property 24 hours from the last snowfall if snow over two (2) inches and all ice.

Abandoned Vehicles: Abandoned or junked vehicle are not allowed to remain on private property in excess of seventy-two (72) hours.

Graffiti: The City of Edgewater will remove the graffiti through our Graffiti Removal Program.

Overhanging Tree Limbs: Residents are responsible for pruning tree branches so that they do not obstruct the view of any street or alley intersection.

Depending on the terms of your lease, you may be (and most likely) responsible for maintaining the property. This includes maintaining:

• snow removal
• weed removal
• and following the Edgewater Municipal Code
